August 15 brought us to Leah's graduation from the Ellerslie program. It was a fun family day beginning with church, followed by a picnic lunch and topped off with the ceremony. The Ellerslie staff honored each student with a title and Bible verse. The Ellerslie guys also chose a variety of rose to recognize the character of each gal.
Leah was given Pristine Rose which symbolizes faithful resolve and she was given the name Leah, the Poured Out. This Bible passage was chosen to enrich her title:
"Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour."
~Ephesians 5:1-2
