"And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and He healed their sick." (Matthew 14:14)
When Jesus saw the great multitude, He was moved with compassion toward them. He was moved . . . And yet, how often do I see the great multitude of need around me and feel overwhelmed, seeing precious souls and ministry opportunities as burdens and not blessings? How often do my feet and my heart remain fixed, not wanting to care, not wanting to be broken and poured out for the lost and the least? Dear Lord Jesus, take this heart of mine and give me Your heart instead. Take these eyes and help me to see clearly. Take this life and use it for Your glory. Move me with your compassion. Teach me to abide in You. May your kingdom come and Your will be done.
