On December 26, we hosted our annual Big Kid Christmas Party. Sarah plans a menu weeks in advance, and we have lots of fun preparing for the big event. The evening was filled with eating, games, dancing, and more eating. Instead of a gift exchange with our friends, last year we came up with the idea to pool the money we would have spent and donate it to Gospel for Asia, a Christian relief ministry. To change it up this year, we held an auction with items ranging from T-shirts and notebooks to small toys and food. Most of the items were in the "white elephant" category, but everyone got into the spirit of giving and had a lot of fun with it. We were able to raise over $2000 to donate. The evening was a huge success!
Sarah's beautiful creation.
The food
The gang
The games
One of the highlights was begging Grandma Janey and Grandpa Bob to show us how to really swing.

That was an awesome night! It was the night I first leeched on to your family...(I was going to say it was the first night I met most of you, but actually that had been John's party a few nights before)
To bad I missed out on getting shown "how to really swing."
